Thanks for the quick response. I totally understand what you're doing here. It's similar to Illustrators Opacity and Clipping masks correct? Great work! Never thought of using that technique here in photoshop. Thanks again! Take care.

Hey there J! Thanks for the love and feedback! As for the layers you see, it is basically a layer mask, except here its made via a linked layers, and this is a clipping mask, so the shape that is the mask masks the shape on top. Simple, I use this technique a lot, but I am really organized in my PSDs...

It appears it has something to do with the mask layer and the contents of said layer. Are you using a link to determine which layer is masked by the other, instead of using a traditional layer mask?

Not sure what is going on with one of your linked layers. It looks like you linked your layer "Slider" with "Mask" (inside the Slider folder). Could you take a moment to explain what it is your're doing here. Perhaps I'm missing something. For a while, heck, the last 8 years, I've avoided linking in exchange for groups and smart objects. I once worked with another designer who linked the daylights out of everything and didn't name his layers. He's links would be spread out across the entire layers panel, so naturally I've scoffed at linkage since as I've yet to find a good use for them. Perhaps you have some insight into that. Thanks for your PSD, and keep up the great work. Take care, JW
